We spent the weekend in Matera. Our last trip before we leave Italy. It is always nice to get out of Naples and see that the rest of Italy isn't as messed up as Naples is. We stayed in a cave hotel. It was so awesome. It was dark and quiet - like sleeping in a cave. Even K-bear slept all night long. I wish we lived in a cave. He is apparently a light sleeper like I am. G can sleep through anything.
The last night J & I were trying to sit outside and enjoy some spumante, but a thunderstorm rolled in, and about a million skeeters to go with it. I took this picture after the rain stopped - we were experimenting with what my point and shoot Canon Elph can do.
